Parent Teacher Conferences

RTHS will be hosting interviews on Thursday, October 24th from 4pm to 8pm, in person and Friday, October 25th from 8:30 am to 12pm online.  Booking begins on Monday, October 21st at 8am through your Parent PowerSchool account.

 

Band Fundraising

Our perigees fundraiser is back!  Please follow the attached instructions to place your orders today.  We are hoping to have the date and time of delivery to be around the first two weeks of December. Specific information will be shared closer to that time.

Success Center

Upcoming Post Secondary Fairs @ RTHS

We have two upcoming post-secondary fairs (details shared below) that will be hosted at Robert Thirsk High School. Students will have an opportunity to ask post-secondary recruiters different questions that may be related to admission requirements, residence, application process, etc. Attached is a list of questions that students may ask recruiters during the post-secondary fairs if you would like to review with your child prior to support their conversations. 

  • Out of Province Post-Secondary Fair: Tuesday, October 22nd from 1-2:30 PM
  • ELAA (Alberta-Based Post-Secondary Fair): Monday, October 28th from 9:30-11:30 AM

Post- Secondary Visits @ RTHS

Students can learn about opportunities about different post-secondary schools from student recruiters and ask questions for the following post-secondary institutions: 

  • Mount Royal University: Thursday, October 24th (Lunch) in Room 012 (Presentation)
  • University of Toronto: Thursday, October 24th (8-8:30 AM) in the space (Booth)

Post-Secondary Open Houses- Fall 2024

Multiple Alberta-based post-secondary open houses will take place in October. Students, please reference Success Centre D2L shell for information on dates and to register in advance. 

UBC Forestry Undergraduate Information Session

Are you passionate about the environment, sustainability, and the great outdoors? Do you dream of a career that combines your love for nature with cutting-edge science and innovation? 

Join us for an exclusive online information session where we’ll introduce you to the exciting world of forestry and our renowned undergraduate programs. Whether you’re a high school student exploring your options or considering a career change, this session is your chance to explore programs (Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources, Bachelor of Urban Forestry, or Bachelor of Indigenous Land Stewardship); meet advisors, learn about career opportunities, experience campus life, and financial aid or scholarships.
