If you are a current RTHS student taking a Diploma Level Course online, please come and see Ms. Adams in the office prior to Wednesday, Oct 30th to register to write your exam at the school

Because this performance is only one act, the bake sale will continue after the show. Stick around for photo opportunities with the cast in costume.
This year, we are also offering a special Student Matinee on Tuesday December 10th at 3:30 pm for $5.00! Student ID is required to enter.

RTHS Tech 25/35 and Drama 10 students will be putting on a Haunted House on October 30th to raise funds for this year’s grad charity. The themed haunted house, “Midnight Carnival”, will be open at lunch and after school on Wednesday, with only a $2.00 entry fee!

Upcoming Post Secondary Fair @ RTHS
We have an upcoming post-secondary fair (details shared below) that will be hosted at Robert Thirsk High School. Students will have an opportunity to ask post-secondary recruiters different questions that may be related to admission requirements, residence, application process, etc.
- ELAA (Alberta-Based Post-Secondary Fair): Monday, October 28th from 9:30-11:30 AM
Post-Secondary Open Houses- Fall 2024
Multiple Alberta-based post-secondary open houses will take place in October. Students, please reference Success Centre D2L shell for information on dates and to register in advance.
BURNS MEMORIAL FUND - HIGH SCHOOL BURSARY FOR GRADE 12 STUDENTS
This program is for Calgary high school students who are within two semesters of graduating from grade 12 and who have demonstrated financial need. A basic living allowance is provided to assist students in covering expenses such as rent, food and transportation. Attendance and marks are monitored monthly. For more information or to apply, students should connect with their colour community Guidance Counsellor.
Youth Volunteer Opportunities
Multiple ways that youth can sign up for volunteer opportunities who may be interested. A list of volunteer opportunities is available in the Success Centre D2L shell. Here are a few opportunities listed below:
· Youth Central- Create a profile with Youth Central and they will support youth in locating suitable volunteer opportunities based on interests through their database
· Calgary Public Library: Offers a range of volunteer programs for many of their programs, including coding buddies, math quest, reading buddies, and creative writing club
· ConnecTeen: So you have a passion to help others? Do you want to get some hands on experience in a helping profession? We offer peer support specifically for teens by teens. We are non-judgmental, confidential, supportive, understanding and knowledgeable. Good candidates have excellent computer skills; good listening and communication skills; ability to keep a level head in a stressful situation; and ability to follow policies and procedures.
