CBE Caregiver Series

Athletics

  • Girls Volleyball - Monday September 29th both teams play in their home opener games!  They also play at home on Thursday October 2nd. Jr Girls at 5 and Sr Girls at 6:30. Come out to support our ladies!
  • Boys volleyball has 2 games next week. Wednesday October 1st at All Saints and Thursday October 2nd at Crescent Heights.
  • Girls Soccer play Thursday October 2nd at St. Marten de Porres in Airdre. Kick off at 4:30pm.
  • Football team play Friday October 3rd 5pm at Encana Field.

Language Challenge

For students interested in completing the language challenge, here is a link to the course challenge guide for students and families. Students interested in completing the language challenge assessment in semester 1 must hand in their consent forms (located on the guide) by Thursday, October 2nd to the Success Centre. Grade 12 Graduation Credential Checks

Grade 12 students will be reviewing their Alberta Education credential checks to confirm their current progress towards their High School diploma in an upcoming Connect. Credential checks will be reviewed with students and sent home to families by Friday, October 10th. Families will have an opportunity to review, sign, and return to Connect teachers by Friday, October 17th. Please follow up with your child's Connect teacher if you have questions.

For families interested in learning more about scholarships and for students who may have missed the scholarship presentation this week, here is a link to the Scholarship presentation. Post-Secondary Information and Applications 101

On Thursday, October 2nd at lunchtime in the theatre, grade 12 students are invited to an information session on the general process of applying to post-secondary schools, program and career exploration tools, questions to consider in choosing post-secondary schools and much more.


UK University Fair

On Tuesday, September 30th from 4-7 PM, students can meet with up to 40 different post-secondary schools from the UK. Information on location and to sign up is linked here

  • ELAA (Alberta-Based Post-Secondary Fair): Wednesday, October 15th between 9-10:30 AM; "Rex" mascot from U of C will be present in the Space at lunch for pictures with students

  • MRU: Thursday, October 23rd in the Theatre at lunchtime
